Though it is possible to create the appearance of such impossible shapes, if you stand in the right locations. Like in OK GO’s awesome video for The Writing’s On The Wall (which even though I’ve seen it lots of times now I watched again while fetching the link because of reasons).

Cameo time! It’s Britt again. She’s actually learning about NAND gates RIGHT NOW. (Well, maybe not right now, but now-ish).

What’s up with Kally and wanting her roomies to take out the trash?

I had meant to do this particular joke when the comic was still running in The Daily Cardinal, but then my friend (mentioned in this comic’s commentary) did a similar one so I set the idea aside. By the time I used it, the cast had moved into a house instead of sharing a dorm room so it seemed a bit odd for them to be in the same room… but I made it work.

Gotta be quicker on the draw, squid.

A yes, the trash-balancing game. As long as your trash doesn’t fall off you don’t have to deal with it, right?

I did see a person do this once. I’m still impressed that they were able to do it alright. I suppose it’s a skill you learn if you don’t have a car, though since I prefer longer skirts I think I would have a major problem if I tried.

It is a bit frustrating to have bikes use the sidewalks all the time when there are so many people about. I suppose they feel it’s quicker (and perhaps safer) than navigating the streets. But even the ones on the streets in Madison tend not to obey the traffic signals.
As a side note, my pace while walk is much like the one who’s hunched over and sweating, moving from right to left. Moving isn’t really my thing.

Passing time only lasts for 10-15 minutes or so, but it’s really, really hard to turn while driving, unless you have an arrow. And even then, if the passing time mob disagrees with the walk sign, you’re stuck anyway.
Not that I know from experience or anything.
