Merry Christmas! Here’s a comic that has nothing to do with that!
I apologize for that, and also the many year reign of terror that Comic Sans held over my comic’s font. IT HAD COMIC IN THE NAME, WHAT DID YOU EXPECT ME TO DO?!?!

Here it is, Christmas Eve, and the comic is already talking about the next school semester. I hope everyone is enjoying their break right now! (I know I am).
Also – 200 dollars for 4 books sounds pretty cheap for nowadays! It doesn’t take very long for book prices to increase!
UW-Madison (and I assume many other colleges) has higher numbers for classes of higher difficulty levels. Entry-level courses are typically 100s or 200s, with 300-400s being intermediate, and 500+ being for juniors, seniors, or graduates.
Now, I never took a 600 level English course, but I assume that freshmen or sophomore would have problems taking it.
I’m just going to hazard a guess here, but this was probably the first semester I took a humanities course. What a coincidence!
Oh narrator, you and your rants.
Oh, that ‘coal as a present’ was a joke? That sounds familiar… >_>
Getting your tuition paid is a pretty big present nowadays.
And we’re back in a new semester! Boy, that was fast, as if these comics were pre-drawn from years ago…
There is (was?) a coal power plant on campus while I was in school. Sometimes coal would be on or near the sidewalks when we passed by for classes. One year I decided to grab some and give it to my dad as a joke Christmas present. I thought it went over pretty well. >_>
Random Doodles’ first color comic! It was the last comic of the Fall semester, and I didn’t know that it was going to be in color! My dear editor set me straight and I quickly made a color version.
I’ve never been good at picking out colors for comics, though. The main thing I learned from this one was that colors print out much darker on newspaper than you think they would. I did not, however, learn how to pick out a pretty color scheme, as you will see in the future. XD
I wrote surprisingly few papers in college because of being an engineering major. The total is probably around 5 or so.
Please don’t ask me about projects, though. We don’t talk about those.
Deciding what to ask Santa for is srs bsns.
