Ah, the dreaded passing time, where pedestrians rule the road and all others must quake in fear.
Passing time only lasts for 10-15 minutes or so, but it’s really, really hard to turn while driving, unless you have an arrow. And even then, if the passing time mob disagrees with the walk sign, you’re stuck anyway. Not that I know from experience or anything.
It is a bit frustrating to have bikes use the sidewalks all the time when there are so many people about. I suppose they feel it’s quicker (and perhaps safer) than navigating the streets. I did see a person do this once. I’m still impressed that they were able to do it alright. I suppose it’s a skill you learn if you don’t have a car, though since I prefer longer skirts I think I would have a major problem if I tried.
A yes, the trash-balancing game. As long as your trash doesn’t fall off you don’t have to deal with it, right?
