The same professor from yesterday’s comic said this joke as well.

My professor for my this particular class definitely told this joke. He had quite a few bad ones lined up from lectures that I definitely put into comic form. He was a good guy, that professor.
Not that I remember what class it was. >_> Had something to do with magnetic fields, though. Here’s the Wikipedia article on dot products, in case you’re interested.
And conveniently, with Abby having a physics major, I felt that she would more likely be in the same math-type classes as Sasha was. As if it was planned that way or something.

I can only presume those who care about grammar are twitching right now.

Nope, definitely does not count. Unless she got a work visa or something.
(Spoiler alert: She didn’t. All vacation, all the time).
Reading these strip numbers that only have 0’s and 1’s reminds me of binary numbers. In the binary numbering system, this would only be comic number 7.

Yes, I did indeed have a “document imaging” internship over one summer. I had gotten the job through an internship community that would find tech-related jobs for minorities in the field, and I had wanted to stay closer to home so this job it was.
When they were first describing the job it sounded pretty interesting.
“We had a problem of converting these physical records into digital ones.”
“Oh? Did you need help writing some software?”
*shifty glances* “Nooo, that’s already written…”
“Oh, I see.”
“Yeah, we need someone to scan those documents into the system using the scanning software.”
“Oh. I see.“
It still paid like 12 dollars an hour and I got to go on a few tours of the facilities, so it wasn’t as much as a letdown as it could’ve been.

What’s this? A background? Impossible!

Summer break is really long for college students, compared to high school summer break. It was really hard to get back into the groove of learning after a nice, extremely long, entirely relaxing break during which nothing was done… ahh, those were the days.

That was the convenient thing about engineering; eventually all your classes were concentrated into one or two buildings, all of which were near the same location. I suppose that most majors would have this quality once you get into the higher level classes though.

That’s the problem with large, sprawling campuses; there’s a lot of walking.
Which isn’t too bad in the warmer (or mildly cool) months, but the winter? Fuggedaboutit..

Hmm, did Kally wander off-panel to make room for all the text, because I wouldn’t have to draw her again, or both? >_>
