This is a riff on the comic The Graph Giraffe, which actually has a wikipedia article. It was a pretty good comic. (When I first started at UW Madison, The Daily Cardinal definitely had the better comic selection, but by the time I graduated I think it was The Badger Herald (and not just because my comic was in there). I think the days of comics in the student newspapers have fallen to the wayside though, which is too bad because that’s pretty much why I read newspapers and therefore I presume is the reason why everyone else reads them too).
