Some of this comic is based on truth. If I’m guessing correctly, this was the year the Madison area got really large hail – up to the size of a tennis ball or so in some areas! This caused a lot of damage to cars and houses. A friend of mine (Greg, yes?) did get the windshield of his car smashed by the hail.

(Interestingly enough, I also think this was the year I was interviewing for an internship at a local insurance company, but they had to cancel the intern program that summer because of all the money that had to be paid out because of the hail!)

Also, my mom the Easter Bunny sometimes hid the eggs too well, so we couldn’t find all of them. They did, on occasion, turn up later. Much later.
